Anatolian Propolis and Coronavirus

Propolis is a natural bee product that honeybees collect from the leaves, buds, and stems of the plants. Honeybees use propolis to destroy microbes in the hive to ensure sterilization. In scientific studies, it has been reported that it has supportive effects on human health due to its nutrients, particularly extremely high amounts of polyphenols.

Anatolian Propolis from the pristine Anatolian Mountains contains at least 15 different phenolic and flavonoid components. These components are caffeic acid phenethyl ester, caffeic acid, quercetin, galangin, chlorogenic acid, linolenic acid, palmitic acid, hydroxytyrosol, coumaric acid, apigenin, chrysin, and pinocembrin. Anatolian propolis shows great antioxidant activity and therefore supports our immune system. Many Scientific studies showed the use of Anatolian propolis as a supplement in respiratory health problems, urinary system infections, gastrointestinal problems, skin problems, wounds, burns, diabetes, and finally, coronavirus. Similar studies on natural bee products increase day by day. In a recently published article, the effect of Anatolian propolis and Anatolian bee pollen on infections and transmission of coronavirus was researched.
