Press members visited the beekeeping farms where the valuable bee products (Propolis, Royal Jelly, Pollen, Bee Venom, Bee Bread, Raw Honey) of the BEE&YOU are produced in the Anatolian geography, BEE&YOU's R&D Center, and manufacturing facility.
At the BEE&YOU R&D center, the cofounder and general manager of the brand, Dr. Samancı, presented the company's story.
BEE&YOU's story began when my son struggled with a health problem when he was 5-year-old. He was getting sick so frequently, was often treated with antibiotics, and eventually developed an autoimmune disease due to his weakened immune system. Our doctor advised me to give propolis and royal jelly to support his immune system. Propolis is a natural bee product that bees collect from plants to protect their hives from microbes. It is a very rich natural antioxidant and also has antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal effects. But there were many adulterated propolis products on the market. That is why I decided to produce propolis for the first time for my son. Then I extracted phenolic components from raw propolis in my lab with a pioneering method (later patented) that I developed. After six months of supporting my son's immune system with my propolis extract, we saw a miraculous improvement in his health, and his autoimmune disease was also eventually cured. With this experience, I decided to become an entrepreneur and start the production of high-quality propolis in the pristine Anatolian mountains, one of the most biodiverse regions in the World.
During the presentation, the journalists had the opportunity to learn more about natural pure bee products and innovative products of the BEE&YOU brand in their most natural and pure form from the hives. Dr. Samancı explained the bee products obtained from the Anatolian geography, the effects of these products on human health, and the effectiveness and difference of the value-added innovative bee products developed with BEE&YOU branded bee products to the members of the press. Additionally, the contracted beekeeping model that includes 5,000 contracted beekeepers and 550,000 beehives exclusively for the use of the BEE&YOU brand was described in detail.
BEE&YOU General Manager Dr. Samancı expressed the "Contracted Beekeeping Model" implemented by the BEE&YOU for the first time in the World.
Dr. Samancı; "With our Contracted Beekeeping Model, we produce traceable bee products from the hive to the table under controlled and defined conditions. We work one-on-one with our beekeepers living in different regions of Anatolia, which has a total of 12000 plant varieties, 3500 of which are endemic, with our agricultural engineers and beekeeping specialists in our expert team. We provide training for apicultural practices and material support to our beekeepers. Dr. Samancı said, "According to the contracted model we apply, we follow the principles of "Fair Trade" by offering a buying commitment for the exact product quantity for each beekeeper through the season. The propolis collected from our contracted beekeepers is extracted with a patented method developed in our BEE&YOU R&D Center and transformed into new value-added products. Approximately 80% of food production takes place thanks to bees
Dr. Samancı explained that beekeeping is a sector that contributes significantly to pollination in the World and our country. She said, "With this business model that protects beekeeping and bees, we actually believe that we make a vital contribution to preserving green vegetation in the World and sustainability in food production."

On the second day of the excursion, the farms of the contracted beekeepers of the BEE&YOU brand were visited.
