The 4th International Mediterranean and 3rd International 8th National Pediatric Nursing Congress took place recently. Bee Products Specialist and Food Engineer Dr. Aslı Samancı was honored with an award in the category of "Randomized Controlled Trials" for her scientific poster titled "Does Oral Care with Anatolian Propolis Affect Oral Mucositis Development in Pediatric Oncology Patients?"
The Congress, organized by Atatürk University Faculty of Nursing, was held with significant participation from June 1st to June 3rd. Numerous new scientific posters were presented, and current developments and research were discussed. The Congress provided a productive platform for experts and academicians worldwide to share their experiences and engage in valuable knowledge exchange. Among the many new poster presentations, the scientific poster study titled "Does Oral Care with Anatolian Propolis Affect Oral Mucositis Development in Pediatric Oncology Patients?" stood out as one of the most noteworthy works of the Congress. The clinical study, conducted by Bee Products Specialist and Food Engineer Dr. Aslı Samancı, aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Anatolian propolis in combating oral mucositis, a common and negatively impacting condition in children undergoing cancer treatment. Reducing the effects of oral mucositis is of significant importance in improving the quality of life for cancer patients undergoing treatment. Considering the fact that this article will be published in a peer-reviewed journal, it is very valuable in terms of contributing to the scientific literature. Dr. Aslı Samancı's scientific poster study presented at the Congress, based on this innovative clinical research, was honored with an award in the "Randomized Controlled Trials" following evaluations.
